Wykamol No More Damp Salt Neutraliser Usage Instructions
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
1. Brush away or remove all loose salts from the masonry.
2. a) Thoroughly soak the affected masonry with clean tap water. b) Do not soak plaster finish if original plaster is being maintained.
APPLICATION:
1. Apply Salt Neutraliser directly onto the internal wall, using brush or roller, in areas showing salt contamination.
2. Under most circumstances one coat or application is adequate.
3. When heavy salting on old brickwork is being treated use Salt Neutraliser as a concentrate (container strength).
4. On plasterwork, or on masonry with light salting, use Salt Neutraliser diluted with water up to a 50/50 dilution rate.
5. Some frothing may occur which is due to the reaction with the salts. Allow some time for the neutralising action to be completed.
APPLICATION LIMITATIONS:
Salt Neutraliser is only suitable for internal application. After a drying out period a white deposit may be left on the surface where the original efflorescing has taken place and is sometimes difficult to remove.
DECORATION:
If redecoration is to be applied on the treated masonry the area should be washed with water and allowed to dry. Do not redecorate until the treated areas are thoroughly dry.
