Mowing your grass at the correct height can reduce weed issues, support a healthy grass root system and help prevent runoff of fertilisers and chemicals. Find your preferred grass-cutting length by removing or adding this Spacer between the mower's body and the blade. As a basic rule, you should never cut more than one-third of the total of your grass height. If you've been away from your lawn for a while and it's quite long follow the 1/3 rule and 4 days later use a shorter setting to cut.
