Vtech Threadlocker Red High Strength VT-871 is a red color, all purpose, permanent high strength threadlocker formulated for locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It locks bolts and nuts up to 25mm diameter, preventing loosening due to vibration, and sealing against leakage and corrosion.
It is designed to withstand heavy shock, vibration, or extreme chemical or environment conditions.

Vtech Threadlocker Red High Strength Usage Instructions
Application:
It eliminates double nutting and or welding of critical assemblies. Ideal for applications that will not require periodic disassembly.
It is suitable for assembly with air tools, cylinder block bolts, ring gear bolts, transmission shaft bolts, pump and motor.
Directions For Use:
- The surface should be free from oil, dirt, rust and other contaminants.
- Shake the product thoroughly before use.
- For through hole assembly, apply several drops of the product onto the bolt and the nut at the nut engagement turn.
- For blind hole assembly, apply the product into the bottom of the hole. Installation of the fastener will displace the air and force the adhesive into the threads.
- For sealing applications, apply a 360o bead to the leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free. Force the material into the threads to thoroughly fill the voids.
- For disassembly, remove with standard hand tools, or apply localised heat to the nut or bolt to approximately 250oC and disassemble while hot.
