Rustins High Heat Black Paint is a fast drying decorative paint that can withstand temperatures of up to 600°C. Ideal for application on surfaces that typically witness extreme temperatures.

Intended Use: The paint is only suitable for use on ferrous metals such as wood burning stoves, barbeques, domestic and industrial stoves, furnace chimneys, grates and exhausts.
This protective product is touch dry in just 15 minutes and can be used on these types of surfaces, leaving a stylish matt finish. It can easily endure typical barbecue temperatures and even roaring fireplace heat, which in the most extreme case rarely exceeds 540°C. Rustins High Heat Paint is a solvent based Silicone Alkyd High Heat Paint.

Rustins High Heat Black Paint Usage Instructions
Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free from grease, dust rust and other contaminants. Remove all rust with a scraper or use Rustins Rust Remover. If the product should only be applied to bare metal and not previously coated surfaces.
Application: Stir well before use until there is no sediment on the bottom of the tin. Apply with a bristle paint brush. The paint may be sprayed but may require dilution with Xylene Thinners.
Coats: Only one light coat should be applied. If a heavy coat or more than one coat is applied it is possible that the paint will flake from the surface.
Drying Time: The surface will be touch dry within 15 minutes and can be handled in 1 hour in good conditions. The painted article if air dried will become fully cured once it has been heated up to between 200 - 220° C for approximately 20 minutes.
Re-coating Time: The paint should not be recoated.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Maintenance: The previous coat will need to be removed if recoating becomes necessary.
Settlement: Stir well before use.
Clean-Up: Remove as much product as possible from brushes before cleaning. Clean whilst wet with Rustin Cellulose Thinners or Xylene based Thinners. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer.

Shelf-life/Storage: The shelf life of the product is 2 years. It is preferable to store the product in a cool place. It is important to replace the lid and ensure an airtight seal after use.
NOTE: The product may be used after shelf life has expired but should first be checked to ensure that there is no deterioration of quality.
Hazards: Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition- no smoking. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Use only in well ventilated areas.
