Motorist Winter Car Gift Kit Usage Instructions
Screenwash: In normal summer conditions, use 10% concentrated screenwash to water to make up to 10 litres of mixture.
In winter, increase concentration to 25% (or more) screenwash to water.
If neat fluid is spilt on paintwork rinse off immediately with water. Store in an upright position and secure when transported.
De-Icer: Clear heavy snow deposits.
Hold the spray upright and apply close to the windscreen, starting at the top and moving downward.
Use the windscreen wipers to remove slush once the ice melts.
Note: Frosted surfaces are colder than the air temperature. Spray generously from top to bottom. Thick frost may reduce effectiveness; reapply if necessary. Avoid prolonged contact with paintwork and wipe off excess with a clean cloth.
Scraper: Instead of immediately going at your snow- and ice-covered windshield with the straight edge of your scraper, flip it over. The ridges or nubs on the other side aren’t there just for visual appeal. By scraping your car glass with the ridged side, you’ll create scores that weaken the ice. When you go back over this scored ice layer with the flat side of your ice scraper, you should be able to break through the ice more quickly.
