Briwax Original is formulated with fast drying, stronger solvents which speed up drying, and also increase the cleaning ability of the wax slightly. This means that it will renovate older dirtier furniture and leave you with the deep grain enriching Briwax shine.

Briwax Original is formulated with fast drying, stronger solvents which speed up drying, and also increase the cleaning ability of the wax slightly. This means that it will renovate older dirtier furniture and leave you with the deep grain enriching Briwax shine.
Improved shine and durability can be achieved by first sealing the surface with Briwax Sanding Sealer. For antiques and pre-finished furniture, first check compatibility, then apply Briwax in small areas with a clean soft cloth. The Briwax finish can be maintained by further applications which will give increased hardness and shine. This product is not recommended for use in areas where it will come into contact with water.
Type: A traditional formulation using only refined Natural Beeswax and Carnauba Wax.
Special Features: Revives the natural colour of wood and enriches the patina of all good furniture.

Intended Use: Provides a natural sheen to sealed wood. Used for restoration of antique furniture. Always check compatibility with antique furniture and pre-finished furniture.
Application: Apply to the surface with a soft lint free cloth or 0000 Briwax Steel Wool working with the grain. Once dry, buff with lint free cotton cloth to achieve the desired finish.
Coats: One coat is usually sufficient but a second coat may be applied to obtain a higher sheen.
Drying Time: Quick drying.
Re-coating Time: Re-apply if required after a few minutes.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25° C
Maintenance: Re-apply when necessary.
Compatibility: Compatible with all types of timber finishes. For best results and to prevent a blotchy appearance timber should always be previously sealed with a varnish, oil or Briwax Shellac Sanding Sealer. The product is not designed for use in areas where it will come into contact with water.
Clean-Up: Hands and application cloth can be cleaned in warm soapy water.

Shelf-life/Storage: A very long time if stored in original container tightly sealed in a cool dry place.
Above 20°C, Briwax will soften and liquify. Replace lid, put in a cool place and it will return to its original state.
Hazards: Highly Flammable. Harmful: danger of serious damage to health by prolonged exposure by Inhalation. May cause lung damage if swallowed. Possible risk of harm to the unborn child. Vapours may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
