Rustins Raw Linseed Oil is ideal for oiling cricket bats, bare wood and for softening putty. Rustins Raw Linseed Oil is also used sparingly for lubricating the pad when french polishing.
Type: Natural oil
Intended Use: Ideal for oiling cricket bats, adding to paint and softening metal glazing putty. Not suitable for oiling furniture or wooden floors. For furniture use Rustin’s Danish Oil or Rustins Teak Oil. For floors use Rustin’s Floor Oil.

Coverage: 13-15m² per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood.

Rustins Raw Linseed Oil Usage Instructions
Preparation: Ensure surface to be oiled is clean and dry.
Application: Apply with a rag or brush and wipe off excess with a dry rag or cloth. Coats As required.
Drying Time: Slow drying. Dependant on temperature, humidity and film thickness. For faster drying linseed oil use Rustins Boiled Linseed Oil.
Re-coatingTime: Recoat once oil has dried
ApplicationTemp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 15°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Maintenance: Re-oil periodically.
Compatibility: Compatible with most oil based products. Refer to manufacturer before mixing with other oils or varnishes.
Settlement: Stir before use.
Clean-Up: Clean brushes with White Spirit or Rustins Brush Cleaner.

Shelflife/Storage: The shelf life of the product in an airtight container is a very long period of time. It is preferable to store the product tightly sealed in a cool dry place.
