Rustins Black Matt Paint is a smooth matt black finish for wrought iron and wood. Suitable for interior and exterior use. Use on bare, hardboard, MDF, plaster, brickwork, cement and wrought iron.
Type: A dense black matt paint based on water borne self cross-linking acrylic resin.
Intended Use: For all interior and exterior bare, hardboard, MDF, plaster, brickwork, cement and wrought iron. Can be used over existing wood and metal primers and over existing paints.
Special Features: Quick drying. Excellent covering power. Clean brushes with water. Contains special matting agents so that paint dries with Matt finish.
Rustins Black Gloss Paint is also available.
Coverage: Approximately 12-14m² per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Rustins Quick Dry Black Matt Paint Usage Instructions
Preparation: Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from wax, grease and contaminants. Fill holes and cracks with Rustin's Wood Filler. Over existing paint, the surface must be cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key before application.
Application: Stir before use. Apply liberally and evenly with synthetic fibre brush or roller.
Coats: 1 or 2 coats depending on requirements.
Drying Time: Touch dry within 30 minutes, depending upon temperature and humidity.
Re-coating Time: 2 hours minimum, depending upon temperature and humidity.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Maintenance: Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent solution.
Compatibility: May be applied over solvent and acrylic paint.
Settlement: STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Ensure any sediment is thoroughly mixed in.
Clean-Up: Clean brushes and hands immediately after use with water. If dried on, clean equipment and brushes with either Rustin's Brush Restorer or Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.

Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original tightly closed container in normal conditions. Do not store below 5°C. Protect from frost.
Hazards: Non-flammable. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Keep out of reach of children.
